Cook Awarded Biological Collection and Analysis Support

Dr. Marc Cook, an assistant professor of exercise science in the Department of Human Performance and Leisure Studies, has secured microbiome research support from uBiome in the form of biological sample collection kits and corresponding sample analysis. Dr. Cook uses samples like these to study the interactions between gut microbial composition and cardiovascular health risks, such as hypertension in African-American college athletes.
