We would like to welcome you to our Forum on Invention in the Bio-Economy: Crossing Paths with Higher Education. The event will take place from 9am to 5pm on January 29th at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering at 2907 East Gate City Boulevard in Greensboro. The event has been organized with support from the AAAS-Lemelson Invention Ambassador Program, the National Science Foundation, the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the Small Business Administration (SBA), and Innovation in Construction Materials, Methods and Management (ICM3). The forum benefits from the international partnership between N.C. A&T and Aalborg University of Denmark.
The objective of the forum is to discuss the synergies between inventorship and higher education that inform, inspire and influence the culture of invention, innovation and entrepreneurship. The forum will further give a human face to invention, with emphasis on inventions in the sustainable and bio-based economy and on developing strategies for promoting exploitation of existing inventions and exploration and discovery leading to new ones.
