N.C. A&T and the Center for Energy Research and Technology (CERT) will host the 8th Annual Energy Day celebration for local K-12 students, March 21, 2017 at the former Hayes-Taylor YMCA on the N.C. A&T Campus. The Energy Day Celebration is designed to expose the upcoming generation to alternate energy sources and energy related technologies.
Close to 1,700 K-12 school students will enjoy interactive exhibits illustrating solar energy, wind energy, photovoltaic energy, bio-fuels, lighting, and hydrogen fuel cells, to name a few. Students are divided into small groups, rotating through the different activities which occur in morning and afternoon sessions. All activities will be led by students and faculty from across the N.C. A&T campus. Featured displays are presented by Guilford County School students, CERT, the College of Engineering, and the NSF CREST Bioenergy Center.
